Consistent assessment of energy efficiency
An energy certificate helps buyers and tenants judge about the energy efficiency of a building in a standardized way. House owners whose buildings were built before 1965 have to provide a energy certificate for tenants or potential buyers.
Rising energy prizes have become a second lease. This is why owners have the opportunity to increase their property’s value by renewing their buildings in term of energy efficiency.
HOW TO GET THE CERTIFICATE
Only trained professionals may provide energy certificates. These are architects, certain engineers and technicians from the construction industries. Craftsmen who can prove expert’s knowledge in energetical building refurbishment may as well provide the certificate.
- The energy certificate ist valid for ten years.
- The website of Deutsche Energie-Agentur GmbH lists all experts which are allowed to provide the certificate.
COSTS OF THE CERTIFICATE
The are no legislative rules concerning the costs. So client and provider will have to agree on the price. Relevant criteria to determine the price might be the size of the building, or the amount of time estimated for providing the certificate.
SOFT LOANS AND SUBSIDIES
The Kreditanstalt für Wiederaufbau (KfW) supports customers with soft loans for renovations. Actual programs can be found on the website of the KfW-Förderbank or at your bank. Latter will as well provide application forms for you. Subsidies, e.G. the construction of solar modules, are provided by the Bundesamt für Wirtschaft und Ausfuhrkontrolle (BAFA). Federal States or municipalities might as well have their own programs
We are looking forward to provide a profund energy certificate for your building.
